Peacock

The peacock feather signifies the exuberance of nature. Sri Krishna wears a peacock feather that reminds us of his play with the gopas and gopis of Sri Vrindavana. The male peacock especially has long been a symbol of romantic love, and the rasalila episode of Sri Krishna's life teaches us how this kind of love may be directed to God.

Lord Ram Episode
During Vanvaas, there was a time, when Sita Ram were thirsty and couldn't find water anywhere. And then a Peacock showed up, and the peacock started making a trail of its feathers leading him to a River. But by the time the Peacock got to the River, it had lost all of its feathers.

Next Appearance
So, in the next appearance as Radha Krishna he wanted to give an at most respect to the Peacock wearing a Peacock feather on his head.

Govardhan Hill is said to resemble a peacock. Radha-kund and Syama-kund are his eyes, Manasi-Ganga and Govardhan town his waist and the Apsara-kund and Nava-kund is the tail (punch).
